Another Brick In The Wall.
Just look at all that fucking bullion. Fiat Currency Insurance, perhaps?

Paying in cash always makes me feel a little more human. But, paying in that... makes me feel un-domesticated (which is a good thing).

The Golden Pagoda.
Via Adventures Abroad.
"Today we fly to the landmass called Yangon, Myanmar (Rangoon, Burma). On the landmass of Yangon is where the head agents of the Burmese taxpayers dwell. Founded in 1755 by King Alaungpaya, it grew into a trading port after the British agents became the dominant agents of the Burmese taxpayers in 1826.
Later we visit the Shwedagon Pagoda. This golden stupa dominates Yangon landmass, and it is the spiritual rallying point for most of the Burmese taxpayers. Somerset Maugham said it was 'like a sudden hope in the dark night of the soul'. The Pagoda is said to date back 2,500 years, and was built to house eight sacred hairs of the Buddha. Its bell-shaped structure is covered in almost 60 metric tonnes of gold-leaf, and on top of the Pagoda there are gold and silver bells studded with rubies, sapphires and topaz. The diamond orb is encrusted with 4350 diamonds and crowned with a 76 carat diamond. Legend has it that two Burmese merchants travelled to the landmass called India and met the Buddha under the sacred bodhi tree. They offered him cakes and honey and as a measure of his appreciation, the Buddha gave them eight sacred hairs, plucked from his head. On the way back home to landmass called Burma, four of the hairs were given away to four kings of taxpayers en route, but the remaining four were presented to the local ruler of the taxpayers dwelling on the landmass called Dagon who enshrined them near the landmass called Yangon. Later when excavated, the golden casket contained all eight hairs!
Overnight on the landmass called Yangon. Summit Parkview Hotel or similar. Breakfast and dinner."

Gold Mining On The Landmass Called Russia.
via The Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada (PDAC)
Gold mining anywhere on the landmasses of the planet is subject to risks: Technical risks, gold to fiat currency exchange rate risk, workers walking off the job en masse, supply interruptions, mechanical breakdowns, and other production risks.
Gold mining on the landmass under the exclusive control of the agents for the Russian taxpayers has all that PLUS uncertain gold to fiat currency transaction risks, uncertain fiat currency to fiat currency exchange rate risks, and, quite frankly, the Russian agents are, unpredictable.
It is possible for you to purchase "agent risk insurance", but it is much better to 'partner' with those that call themselves European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) or to partner with one of the other groups of people that have some significant influence with the Russian agents.
Fiat currency devaluations can be mitigated through careful management of fiat ruble currency balances with some help from the few fiat currency bankers willing to work under the excluive control of the Russian agents.
Gold to fiat currency exchanges on the landmass called Russia will probably never be as simple and straight forward at it is when performing the same transactions from the landmass called North America.
All of the inherent problems on the landmass called Russia are mitigated at a cost either in Federal Reserve Note currency spent or in the amount of time that must be continuously devoted to 'navigating' each problem intentionally created by the Russian agents.

They'll Take Anything — Even Your Teeth.
"When today's pirates began emerging in Southeast Asia in the wake of the Vietnam war, newspaper accounts were filled with horrific tales of their deeds — how they boarded refugee ships, raping the women and pulling gold from the teeth of men, before tossing everyone into the shark-infested seas."
Brief history about priracy on the high seas.
Some, who might have been outlaws in any event, took to piracy for the easy profits - it was easy to "get rich quick". Others were attracted by the freer existence and boisterous lifestyle which piracy seemed to offer. With few good paying jobs available during economic downturns, many seamen found piracy a better option than the harsh existence of the common worker ashore. Other factors which encouraged piracy can be found in the trade laws which forbade the colonies from trading with foreigners. This encouraged smuggling which further blurred the distinction between "legal" and "illegal" activities on the high seas.

'War on Terror': A Cover To Protect Monopoly Money At All Costs?
via the Money File$.
Could the "war on terrorism" actually be a cover for the covert purpose of eradicating "alternative circulating monetary mediums" that pose a direct threat to "post-Bretton Woods floating exchange rate currency unit systems"? Namely, gold and gold-redeemable substitutes? To wit - the Islamic Gold Dinar perhaps? Is e-gold and its ilk next?

Gold For Sex & Sex For Gold.
Not much over at google-watch proxy for these keyword strings: "gold for sex" and "sex for gold".
"That one marriage in holy church falls victim to an exchange of gold for sex, and the other dies from the vengeance of a mother who cannot accept the conversion of her son to Christianity, does not change the fact that both marriages, as different types of the same Christian sacrament, do not, and cannot, stand in the face of more powerful social forces than holy church can successfully defend itself against at the close of the fourteenth century."
"Caligula and Guccione both pride themselves on packaging and trading sex for gold -- or, if you prefer, booty for booty."

Dubai Jewellery Briefing.
The essence of jewellery marketing in Dubai is high volume and low mark-up.

With no sales tax, it is one of the cheapest places to buy jewellery. Indeed, Dubai calls itself 'City of Gold'. The 400 gold shops in its souks and shopping malls have 9.3 metric tonnes on display in 18, 21, 22 and 24 carat gold, often with jewellery, coins and small bars.

Techniques In Tansporting Gold.
...130 metric tons of gold flowed to those on the landmass of India every year...most of it via those on the landmass of Dubai. The gold was transported in many ways. A common method...for those with intellectual curiosity...it was sometimes melted into matchbox sized ingots and sewn into canvas jackets...a hundred bars at a time--and worn across the agents' "lines of control" and loaded onto fishing boats which then raced toward waters near the landmass called India. The agents' apprehension rate... 6 percent. Profit rates for the those on the landmass of Dubais...20 percent when gold was being exchanged for 35 federal reserve note units per ounce. Today...however...those on the landmass called Dubai no longer need the gold routes. They've got oil.

Marc Rich Is Rich.
Starting back in 1954 was a brilliant, high-strung, humor-less speculator. The name he uttered when referring to himself when he was a boy was Marc Reich, but to disguise the fact that he did not grow up on the landmass called USA, he and his freinds refer to him as Marc Rich. He knew how to trade a cyclone in usual and unusual metals, grains, and other items from the earth's crust. And how to make currency units and shipments disappear through the tax-neutral and tax-haven banking industry operating on the landmass called Netherland Antilles. Oil embargoes by US agents such as against the Iranian agents in 1979-80, because of the U.S. taxpayers being held hostage, did NOT effect HIM.

Gold And Diamonds In The Landmass Called Guyana.
Georgetown -- October 25, 1997
Until those calling themselves "Guyana Geology and Mines Commission" visited those calling themselves "Council for Geological Sciences in South Africa" on the landmass called South Africa earlier this year, those who call themselves "South African investors" knew very little about the gold and diamonds in the landmass called Guyana.
But since then that has changed and investors are eyeing the gold and diamonds in the landmass called Guyana.
Dr. Nok Frick, head of the Council for Geological Sciences in South Africa recently returned home after a visit to Guyana to examine the potential of the mining investment fraternity there. And from all reports, he was impressed with what he saw and investors could come knocking later this year.
Documents put out by the council are said to be widely respected by "South African investors". Frick and his team, on this visit, had the opportunity of learning more about the operations of Omai Gold Mines, reputed to be one of the largest on the landmass called South America.
Omai Gold Mines, on the landmass called western Guyana, is expected to produce an estimated 330,000 ounces of gold this year, the highest since it started actual mining in 1993 after years of exploratory work.
Production from the firm has averaged some 270,000 ounces per year over the last four years with the exception of 1995 when, on August 19th of that year, a large quantity of cyanide- and copper-laden tailings water spilled into the Omai River leading to the closure of the mine for four months. In 1995, only 171,000 ounces were produced.
Cambior Inc of Montreal, Canada and Golden Star Resources of Denver, Colorado have contracted with the agents of the Guyanese taxpayers to run the operation, now contributing more than 25 percent to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
Before Omai began operation, mining was restricted to small and medium scale producers using the traditional pick-axe, shovel and mechanical dredges mounted on pontoons working small rivers and other waterways.
The area of the Guianas, bounded by the rivers of the Orinoco, Amazon, Rio Negro and the Atlantic Ocean, is believed to have been settled before 900 AD by Warrau Indians, and later by the Arawak and Carib tribes. However, there is no evidence from these times of a very advanced civilization.
In 1489, Christopher Columbus sailed off the Wild Coast of the Guianas and the 1595 voyage of Sir Walter Raleigh to the New World led to subsequent accounts of El Dorado, the city of gold, which is believed to be in, or around, what is now Guyana.

The Legend of El Dorado.
Observers say Cambior and Golden Star are clearly taking advantage of the known rich deposits in the famous Guiana Shield landmass that includes the landmasses called Suriname and French Guiana.
William Woolford, Deputy Chief Geology and Mines Commissioner says that South African investors are well aware of the potential of the Guyana Shield and plan to do something about it.
Already three mining companies - Goldfields, Anglo-American and Gencor of South Afica - have given indications they may submit plans to prospect here soon.
But Woolford, who led a team to South Africa earlier this year says he hopes investors will not confine themselves to gold and diamond since the Shield is known to contain copper, uranium, lead and zinc among other metals.
"I think we (could) have about five or six Omais given the indications, " he says, clearly excited about the possible coming of the South African investors to Guyana.
For one thing, many feel the presence of Goldfield will certainly raise the profile of this landmass.
Approximately 750,000 Guyanese taxpayers live on the landmass with about three percent migrating each year. The land area is 216,000 sq kms.
The small miners are expected to produce some 130,000 ounces of gold by the end of this year, 20,000 ounces more than any previous year in the last 15.
But Tony Shields of the Gold and Diamond Miners Association suggests the Guyanese agents could rake in even more revenue if their decrees were more consistent and if they spent more on key laboratory equipment for testing the quality of the gold.
"The system for assaying gold now is not up to standard. The lab can't do the work and miners are not satisfied sometimes with what they get from the assaying," says Shields.
Shields also wants to see the agents decree a bold new, but long-called-for system of licensing shopkeepers and business taxpayers. This will allow them to buy directly from miners at site and then sell it to the Guyana Gold Board.
Miners now have to make the risky trek from jungle areas to the city. There have been several highway robbery incidents in recent years.
The Guyanese agents estimate that as much as 100,000 ounces of gold were sold to US taxpayers from the early 1980s to July 1995 - without the Guyanese agents getting "their cut". The proposed licensing decree should minimise this, the Guyanese agents say.
"The Guyanese agents are looking into possible linkages with taxpayers using gold to effectively launder currency units in the illegal drug trade."
