Merchant Passes On Savings To Those Who Pay With E-gold.
How the current practices of Credit Card companies cause merchants and consumers to shift to e-gold.

We can offer a discount for e-gold payments because they are straight-forward and cost no commissions and no transaction fees. E-gold payments always work; payments by credit card often don't. Credit card companies don't trust online subscriptions. Thus, processing charges and related expenses can make for a 30 percent overhead.
And because of the fraud paranoia of card companies, transactions are often refused, or even refunded against the wish of the subscriber. For example, credit cards can typically only be used with IP addresses that match a subscriber's country of residence. Thus, if a US citizen wants to use his credit card in the UK to subscribe to Yohimbe.org, the transaction will be refused because the card companies suspect that the card was stolen. You can call the card company and tell them that this was not the case, and they will still not allow your card to be used for online transactions abroad.
There are many other inconveniences associated with credit cards. And not only for online subscriptions. All of this translates into inflated overhead expenses.
Practically all of these problems can be avoided with an e-gold account. Don't be afraid of the name, e-gold.
