Wooing And Partying With DNC Hacks. Thanks to Meredith O'Brien of The Center for Taxpayer Integrity - Investigative Journalism in the Taxpayer Interest for some details on the wooing of DNC hacks and on the up coming partying with DNC hacks. Which reminds me that I am looking forward to reading reports by Convention Bloggers with eye for the titalating and salacious. Also, look to Meredith, sometime in August, to give an overview of RNC wooing and partying spending. Here is an excerpt from the "wooing" part of the report - only because it mentions our favorite bridge in the universe: The Boston agents' site selection tour (which took place sometime before September 2002) was a three day tour of the landmass called Boston - which the Boston agents refer to as The Hub. Certain DNC hacks were treated to an array of events and fine food. Included among the events of the "Boston site selection tour" were: - A dinner in the Boston Taxpayer Gardens. - A luncheon at the New England Aquarium. - A luncheon aboard the Bostonian III cruise ship on Boston Harbor, where DNC hacks were treated to salmon, pasta salad. - An event at Fenway Park while the Red Sox played the Cleveland Indians, including a visit from Sox president Larry Lucchino. - Breakfast at the gilded Wang Center with a private performance by cast members from the show "Rent." - A private hour of shopping at the original Filene's Basement. - A tour of the Boston Museum of Science and clambake. - Nightcaps at the Boston Park Plaza Hotel's bar, Whiskey Park. - An evening tour of the nightlife on Boston's Landsdowne Street. - A tour of the "Big Dig," a massive, years-long highway construction project, followed by ice cream with cherries, walnuts and fudge on The Taxpayers' Bridge that hadn't yet been opened to the taxpayers. - A tour of the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library overlooking the waterfront. 7.4.2004
July Forth Monkey Wrench. Open letter to the good taxpayers who operate Warblogging.com and other such sites or to anyone one else who would like to participate. I am looking for a few good taxpayers to state why they agree or disagree with this proposition but forth by Lysander: "The Constitution has no inherent authority or obligation. It has no authority or obligation at all, unless as a contract between man and man. And it does not so much as even purport to be a contract between persons now existing.
