MIND CONTROL OP #34,987

March 31, 2003.  Underneath the pin-the-tail-on-the-donkey blame game that is
 firing up in Washington---as in, HOW COME THIS WAR IS MOVING SO SLOWLY AND HOW COME
 THERE ARE MORE CASUALTIES THAN WE IMAGINED AND WHO CAN WE HOLD RESPONSIBLE---there
 is the hard truth: Pentagon planners knew all along this was going to be a nasty war.
  They just kept it to themselves.

Which raises an important topic.  All those embedded reporters the Pentagon placed
 with the troops can have one of two possible effects.  If the war is going like a
 knife through butter, the public back home is pleased as punch.  If the war is bogging
 down, every image sent back re-enforces THE PROBLEM.

If Pentagon planners knew how nasty the war was going to be, why did they allow all
 those reporters to hunker down in 87 locations with the troops?

What is the real op here?

It's quite obvious, once you cut through the nonsense.

The American public is being conditioned for more war.  

"Feed them their castor oil now and let them get used to it.  Deaths, injuries, fear.
  We'll take the negative feedback and spin it in the best way possible.  But, on the
 whole, we'll be programming the public consciousness for what is to come.  Other
 countries, other wars."

And, of course, when the US does declare victory in Iraq, that will function as a major
 release of tension for the American people.  Like a movie with bad parts that ends well.
  Smiles all around.  It was horrifying but wonderful.  

"We suffered, but we won.  We sacrificed, but we won.  It was worth it.  Good things
 don't come easy."

I can almost hear the words coming out of Bush's mouth.

And FOX will be right behind him.

Tension, release.  Tension, release.  One of the major principles of symphonic composition.

Only thing is, once the release comes, it isn't so easy to rally everyone for the
 next war.  They want a reasonable period of celebration.  They want to pour their funds
 into the stock market as it makes terrific spikes.  They want to welcome the boys coming
 back home.

So it will take some new disaster.  Some new palpable threat that exceeds the power of
 suspicion to catalog that threat as a hoax, as another piece of the ongoing op.

Like a new terrorist attack on US soil.

Some significant part of the global antiwar movement is going to have to get a little
 smarter and call these events, in advance, what they really are:
